Club Hour Conversation, Tuesday, March 14th, 12:30-2 pm, Cohen Library 5-301
The Archives and Special Collections Division of the City College Libraries, in collaboration with the Rifkind Center for The Humanities and Arts, and the English Department of City College, invites you to its first Spring 2023 conversation, when Prof Ellen Handy (Art) will introduce us to Edward S. Curtis's multi-volume ethnographic project, The North American Indian (1900-1930).

For each of our Club Hour Conversations, librarians and faculty select items from the rich Archives and Special Collections holdings of Cohen Library, and give short, informal presentations introducing these materials, allowing the audience a hands-on encounter with medieval codexes and 20th century stencils, 17th century astronomy books and early 20th-century photography.
Further conversations will take place on March 14, March 28, April 18, and May 9th, always on Tuesday from 12:30-1:30pm, in the Archives Reading Room, 5-301, on the 5th floor of Cohen Library. Refreshments will be served, courtesy of the Rifkind Center.
Speakers will include:
Elazar Elhanan (Classical and Modern Languages & Literatures)
Andreas Killen (History)
Ed Keller (Media & Communications Arts)
Laurie Woodard (History)
