What’s a Feminist to Do? A Talk by Dr. Kate Levin

On Tuesday, March 28th Dr. Kate Levin will deliver a talk entitled, “What’s a Feminist to Do? Trigger Warnings and Other Adventures in Teaching at a Women’s College”.  The talk will take place from 12:30 – 2:00 PM in the Rifkind Room, NAC 6/316.

In this talk, Dr. Levin will use Eliza Haywood’s eighteenth-century novella “Fantomina” as a case study to explore how her feminist teaching evolves (or devolved) during 15 years at Barnard College.  She will also offer some thoughts – and hopefully a lively discussion – about where we might go from here.
